Work History

LEAD WRITER
January 2026 - Present
I am the lead writer for Black Bunny Game Studio's founding project, Off the Rails. I lead a team of two writers in developing a character bible, plotting the narrative, writing a script, and guiding overall narrative design for the project. I am considered one of the founding members of the studio and have grown my leadership skills in this position.

NARRATIVE DESIGNER
September 2025 - January 2026
I was a narrative designer for Spark of Genius Studios, working on their psychological horror project. While working with this studio, I learned how to collaborate with a wider creative team and fulfill assignments in a timely manner.

GAME GUIDE WRITER
September 2022 - November 2024
I wrote game guides for Screen Rant, discussing the gameplay and secrets of hit new games. I've become more familiar with games as a result and plan to translate this experience into game design.

WRITING INTERN
August 2021 - December 2021
I was an intern with IRIS: Book & Podcast Summaries. I was responsible for reading nonfiction books and writing detailed summary drafts which were later turned into more polished quick reads for customers. This internship taught me how to work in a professional setting.
Education

CENTRAL COLLEGE
August 2022 - May 2025
I attended Central College in Pella, Iowa, studying English and Disability Studies. My coursework involved experimentation with various writing mediums and further honing my creative skills.

RANKO TRIFKOVIC'S NARRATIVE DESIGN COURSE
I studied under narrative design guru Ranko Trifkovic in order to learn what game studios look for in a narrative design hire. He taught me the industry definitions of the position and the roles it can play in a studio. He also taught me how to craft an easy to understand game design document in order to explain narrative vision across multiple departments.

Welcome to the inside of your mind.
Take on the role of a Piece, an aspect of someone’s personality, and guide your host through life’s challenges. Bounce between the real world and the mental world, known as the Soulscape, with universes unique to every game. Your host’s life will reflect into the Soulscape in strange ways–guilt becomes a swarm of parasitic monsters, stress sets fire to the gardens of thought, and so much more. Inspired by Sanders Sides, Inside Out, and psychological principles, every session transforms difficult concepts into exciting metaphors that turn the game into a factory of memorable roleplay moments.

A short story in which a young man willingly sticks his feet into a woodchipper, told from the perspective of his older sister. Available for Word download.

An entry for the Historically Accurate Game Jam 9 on itch.io; a short game based on Harriet Tubman's career as a spy for the Union army in the American Civil War. I was the project manager, actualizing the idea and directing four other game designers. I also conducted research on the Combahee Ferry Raid and was the narrative designer of the project.

Portfolio Specs: Worldbuilding and Art Direction
My narrative design course with Ranko Trifkovic allowed me to develop two high quality portfolio pieces showcasing my documentation and narrative design skills. The linked documents showcase the basic worldbuilding and art direction of a hypothetical community management simulator, written for a fictional studio team to understand the project's narrative details.
